ABOUT THE FARM
Little Fields Farm is an ecological produce and poultry farm located in Bright, Ontario. The farm produces over 40 different types of vegetables, which you can access through the CSA and at the Kitchener Farmer's Market, as well as pastured-raised chickens for meat and eggs, and pasture-raised Thanksgiving turkeys.
COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is about sharing in the risks and rewards of producing local organic food. On average you will reap the benefits of a bountiful harvest, but in a difficult farming year you will feel the farmer's struggles. It's about making an investment in a local farmer, providing them with funds when they need it most and supporting the local food economy, even in a bad growing year. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through the years!
ABOUT THE FARMER
Claire Poulton started Little Fields Farm in the spring of 2015 after several years of interning on organic farms in Ontario and BC. She farms because she loves the lifestyle and because she believes in small-scale ecological farming as a way to build healthy, resilient communities and to produce quality food while treating nature and our fellow animals with respect.
